What makes Flowmate different from gutter guards and other gutter accessories?
Most gutter accessories sit on top of your gutters and do nothing to protect the downpipe — the one point where blockages cause the most damage.
Flowmate works differently.
It installs directly into the downpipe, filtering debris while keeping water flowing freely at all times. No mesh to rust, no guards to collapse, no hidden buildup.
What size gutters and downpipes does Flowmate fit?
Flowmate is engineered to fit the most common Australian and New Zealand downpipe sizes — 90mm round, 100mm round, 100mm×50mm rectangular, 100mm×75mm rectangular, quad gutters, and half-round gutters.
Not sure about your setup? Contact our team and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
What are the benefits of using Flowmate?
Flowmate prevents debris from blocking your downpipes, keeps water flowing freely year-round, and protects your home from the water damage that blocked downpipes cause.
It requires no professional installation, no ongoing maintenance, and is backed by a 3-year warranty. It's the most cost-effective downpipe protection available for Australian and New Zealand homes.
How many Flowmates do I need for my home?
One Flowmate per downpipe — no exceptions. A single unprotected downpipe is all it takes for water to back up and cause damage.
Use our home size guide above to find the right pack for your property, or contact our team if you're unsure how many downpipes your home has.
Do I need a professional to install Flowmate?
No. Flowmate is a simple DIY install. Attach the base plate to the dropper, insert it into your downpipe, and push down until the dropper's ridges grip the inside of the pipe and lock into position. No tradie, no professional required.
How does Flowmate compare to Gutter Guard systems?
Gutter guards are designed to keep debris out of your gutters — but they sit directly over your downpipes, which means debris accumulates at the most critical point. Over time this causes overflow, hidden water damage, and costly repairs.
Flowmate protects the downpipe directly, costs a fraction of the price, and requires no professional installation.
Is Flowmate compatible with all gutter types and roofing systems?
Flowmate is compatible with the most common gutter profiles used across Australia and New Zealand, including quad, half-round, and fascia gutters.
It works with both tiled and metal roofing systems. If you have an unusual setup, contact our team and we'll advise before you purchase.
How does Flowmate prevent roof leaks and water damage?
When a downpipe blocks, water has nowhere to go. It backs up into the gutter, overflows, and forces its way into your fascia, walls, roof cavity, and foundations.
Flowmate keeps the downpipe clear at all times, so water drains freely regardless of how much debris is in the gutter — eliminating the root cause of most preventable water damage in Australian homes.
